I read where a bunch of patriotic millionaires, a title they have themselves, went to Capitol Hill Wednesday demanding to have their taxes raised.

Personally, I think they are getting off on the fact they are rich and hey, look at me.

But, the reason I am dubious at their "please tax me more plan" is that it's a moot point.

And if you are watching out there in what the game show hosts used to call TV-Land and you millionaires think your tax bill is to low, well, you haven't been doing your part.

Any law-abiding citizen can send in any money to the US Treasury they want.

At the end of doing your taxes in in April, before you send it in just take out a hanky, wipe a happy tear and tell the preparer here's some more.

I certainly don't want my taxes raised.

Now any one with a brain knows you have to have taxes. Of course, you do.

No one I know disputes this except for the kooks that write me every now and then and tell me it's not in the Constitution.

Yeah, skip your taxes and see how far that gets you, like a private room at a federal prison.

The problem I have with paying more tax is that I think they waste half the the money I give them now.

This will make some of you mad.

But, if I thought raising taxes right now in the climate would work, I'd wince and say...ok.

But, I know it's going to be wasted on something dumb.

But, be you a millionaire or a working guy like me, if you want to pay more send the check into
Tim Geithner at the Treasury. He'll take your money.

And while your at it, ask why he didn't pay all of his taxes?
