Once Sharon Osbourne learned she carries a gene that makes her predisposed to breast cancer, her next move to get a double mastectomy was a "no-brainer," "The Talk" co-host told Hello! magazine in its latest issue.

Having faced colon cancer 10 years ago, the 60-year-old TV personality and wife to rocker Ozzy Osbourne said she "didn't want to live under that cloud."

"As soon as I found out I had the breast cancer gene, I thought, 'The odds are not in my favor,'" she explained. "I decided to just take everything off ... I didn't even think of my breasts in a nostalgic way, I just wanted to be able to live my life without that fear all the time. It's not 'pity me,' it's a decision I that's got rid of this weight that I was carrying around."

The preventative step was a clear choice for Osbourne, who had her son Jack's infant daughter, Pearl, in mind when she made it.

"For me, it wasn't a big decision," she reveals. "I want to be around for a long time and be a grandmother to Pearl."

Prior to the mastectomy, Osbourne learned that one of her breast implants had leaked into the wall of her stomach. Looking back on the experience, she said she's definitely done with plastic surgery.

"You can't buy your youth back, no matter how much money you've got," Osbourne told Hello!. "I won't be going under the knife again."
