Wood County — A single-engine plane crash sent an East Texas pilot to the hospital with injuries on Wednesday.

Officials say the plane went down at about 1:00 pm near Holly Lake Ranch Airport in Hawkins, TX.

The pilot survived, but was injured. He has been taken to a Longview hospital. The extent of his injuries is unknown.

No one else was injured in the crash.

The FAA is investigating why the plane went down.
