As archery becomes more and more popular with children and young adults, 4H organizations are looking to add it into their program.

This weekend, Smith County 4H, in conjunction with the Tyler Archery Club, will hold a meeting to gage the amount of interest in archery.

The organization already has shotgun related programs, among many others.

Anyone who is interested in learning more can come to the meeting free of charge.

Those involved hope this will not only create a new program for local youth, but grow the 4H organization as a whole.

The group will meet at one in the afternoon this Saturday in Tyler, they say to head to the Oil Palace and follow the signs.
