SMITH COUNTY - Smith County fire officials confirm they are fighting a house fire on County Road 376.

The Chapel Hill Fire Department is the responding unit. Fire Marshal Jim Seaton is also on the scene. They believe the fire started when the homeowner was burning leaves in the yard and some blew into the attic.
