Smith County firefighters working large grass fire, multiple structures in danger

smith county — UPDATE- From fire marshal officials: The fire started with a farmer cutting hay. A rock hit the blade and sparked the fire which spread very quickly.
Multiple departments are on scene.
Plows have just been put down to make a line around the fire.
Approximately 12 structures in dange.
5-6 acres are burning in a heavy residential area.
Smith County firefighters are working a large grass fire that started sometime before 3 p.m. on the 13,000 block of County Road 1141.
The Dixie Volunteer Fire Department is currently working the fire, and has requested aid from the Flint-Gresham, Noonday, and Bullard Fire Departments.
Bullard Firefighters are on the scene with a plow.
Multiple structures are in danger.
