Youtube sensations often born of mom and dads' home movies or those celebrity obsessed teens. Now one east texas soldier is growing in popularity after his music video: made in Iraq.
We skyped with Sergeant Joshua Simmons, "we're getting towards the end of our tour, people stressed out, people miss home, so trying to get the morale of people up also to let people know at home, " he said.
Simmons was taking a break from guarding an area outside baghdad when he and his friends broke into dance. This despite the 140-degree heat and pounds of gear.
He says it's a good way to let family and friends know, they're in good spirits. Simmons says he enjoys getting feedback from home.
"It means a lot cause, you know, somebody back home is seeing what we're doing over here or seeing us have a good time. It means a lot, just like getting mail or email," he says.
