Soldiers killed at Ft. Hood mourned across U.S.

Victims of the deadly mass shooting at Ft. Hood were laid to rest over the weekend.
Funeral services were held in California Saturday for 56-year-old Captain John Gaffaney.
The psychiatric nurse was one of the 13 soldiers killed when army Major Nidal Hasan opened fire at a Ft. Hood processing center November 5.
After serving in both the Navy and the California National Guard Gaffaney rejoined the military in 2001 after the September 11 terror attacks.
The funeral service for Private First Class Aaron Thomas Nemelka was also held Saturday in West Jordan, Utah.
Snow fell as Nemelka’s flag-drapped coffin was placed inside a hearse.
The 19-year-old soldier joined the Army about a year ago and was planning on deploying to Iraq in January.
In Joliet, Illinois, there was a final farewell for private first class Michael Pearson.
People lined streets as the patriot guard riders rode in the procession.
Pearson joined the Army more than a year ago and was training to deactivate bombs.
