Sound Off, East Texas: Keep Pulling out of Iraq?
October 25, 2009 - 8:24pm
TYLER - After those massive blasts in Baghdad, some may wonder, are we pulling out too soon?
Former Presidential candidate John McCain says, it was a terrible tragedy but it should not persuade the U.S. government to rethink its plan of slowly pulling troops out of Iraq.
We wanted to know what you think.
Should the U.S. continue to pull out of Iraq, or should we stay longer now?
That's today's Sound Off, East Texas.

You gotta know when to hold up, know when to fold-up, know when to walk away, know when to run. In the case of Iraq, we should not only walk away, we should be running fast. The benefits of staying and of being there have always been of econonic interest. The negatives have out weighed the positives. Our presence there and in Afaganistan is draining out economy. The money spent there should be used to stimulate small business(s). That is our bread and butter. Our present and new "Homeland Security" is another waste of money. Build a strond defence system and severly punish (shock and awe) anybody that treads on us. The good guy approach that we are using is not working. Bargan from a position of strength not weakness. We are trying to achieve the same goals in Iraq and Afiganistan that we are trying to achieve with Native Americans. You cannot change something or someone that wants no change. You cannot instil american ways to everyone with money. Some people(s) hate us due to envy. We should stay stay at our house and they can stay at theirs. When they enter our fenced yard, defend relentlesly, remember "shock and awe", it works. Respect is respect, wheather it is out of love or fear. We are selling our soul and our childrens future to the Chinese. We are not financially stable or stable, we are spending ourselves into oblivion due to the cost of Iraq and Afiganiston. Leave then to drown in their squaler or we will perish with them. We should have learned a little something from the Soviet attempts in Afiganistan. You think?
