South Longview teen died of multiple gunshot wounds
Longview, TX (Longview News-Journal) — A preliminary autopsy released Monday shows a Longview teenager shot and killed earlier this month died of multiple gunshot wounds.
Gregg County Pct. 1 Justice of the Peace B.H. Jameson said 19-year-old Joey Lee Espy suffered gunshot wounds to his head and chest when he was killed shortly after 5 p.m., July 7, in the 300 block of Bonner Street in South Longview.
A black female who never been identified was taken to Good Shepherd Medical Center where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Police have not released her name or age.
Both were found inside the house on Bonner Street, a two-block street that connects Cotton and East Timpson streets east of Mobberly Avenue.
Police spokeswoman Kristie Brian said Monday police have not identified any suspects or persons of interests, but narcotics are believed to have played a role in Espy’s death.
