Tyler, TX (KETK) — As the political season gets underway, many people are heading online and expressing their views using social media .... but that can also lead to overly heated exchanges.

A professor at the University of Texas at Austin says,  nowadays, comments online are aggressive, and also unsatisfying.

The study says...  with so many voices on the web.... many people feel they can only be heard by being exceedingly harsh, and critical.... and yet still receive little satisfaction

Experts say people continue to digitally beat their heads against a wall.... because they are anonymous, and they don't have to hear countering points of view.

Experts recommend --- people discuss their points of view in person when they can, and try to include others who may not agree with their opinion.
