A Lufkin man turned himself in Thursday on a charge of criminal trespass for allegedly turning a murder victim’s home into his drug den.

Demarcus Houston, 33, had his first run-in with Lufkin Police April 8 at the 706 Hoo Hoo St. home of alleged murder victim Fred Gilmore, according to an arrest affidavit. Gilmore was stabbed to death a month earlier, leaving the rent home unoccupied.
