Longview, TX — State Rep. Wayne Christian, R-Center, has formally announced his intention to run for reelection to his District 9 Texas House of Representatives seat.

Harrison County has been in District 5, served by State Rep. Bryan Hughes. But with redistricting of Texas House districts, District 5 no longer includes Harrison County. District 9 was changed during redistricting to be comprised of Cass, Marion, Harrison, Shelby, Panola, and Sabine counties.

"I'm ready to run on my record," Christian said. "I have consistently proven that I do not just talk the talk when it comes to conservatism. I can't wait to meet more of the good citizens of the new House District 9 and make my case to them."
