Today's gallup tracking poll shows huge gains for Rick Santorum.
Nationally, he leads Mitt Romney now by ten points.
"You can speak loudly on tuesday that you want someone who gonna stand up and fight the insiders -
fight the establishment that has a track record of doing it," Santorum told supporters in Arizona Tuesday.
Santorum is not surging in Arizona polls; he trails Mitt Romney there.
In his home state of Michigan, Romney claimed his rival's startling surge is fading as voters learn Santorum was a lawmaker, then a lobbyist.
"I don't think you can change Washington if that's all you've ever known," Romney said to applause.
Watching Republicans go after one another, President Obama reminded voters he got the payroll tax cut extended, meaning more take home pay every week.
"That $40 helps pay the rent, the groceries, the rising cost of gas - that's on a lot of
people's mind right now," Mr. Obama said.
Those record-setting gas prices may also be a problem for the president.
Republican candidates hope those prices will become a political issue.
