WEYMOUTH, MA - A Massachusetts convenience store is open again after being robbed twice in one day.
The robberies happened at the Jackson Square 7-Eleven in Weymouth.
Police said Jared Kenney, 20, walked into the store around 1 a.m. and told the clerk that his cousin and friend would beat him up if he did not hand over $200.
The clerk gave him the money and reported the incident to police.
Police arrested Kenney a short time later.
A few hours later, Amanda Smith, 18, and Derek Toomey, 19, walked into the store to check it out, said police.
Minutes later, Toomey allegedly returned with a knife and ski mask and attempted to rob the store.
The clerk fought Toomey to the ground and an officer responding to the prior incident arrested him.
Authorities said that the incidents were not related.
