Three different vehicles were broken into Thursday afternoon at Tyler State Park. The families who owned the vehicles were feet away, swimming, while the burglaries occurred. Park officials told us different items were stolen including, wallets, purses, and other miscellaneous items.

Officials do know one of the vehicles had the windows slightly open and a purse in plain sight.

Of the items stolen, credit cards were used later that day at multiple stores in Tyler.

Park officials believe there is a possible link between the car burglars and a robbery that happened later this past weekend.

The investigation is on going. If the burglars are linked to the robbery, additional charges will be brought against them.

Park officials and police want to remind East Texans to secure their vehicles and put valuables out of sight.

Have you been to Tyler State Park lately? It's nothing but Illegal Mexicans and Minorities. My wife and I tried to go to Tyler State Park a little over a year ago and we left after seeing what kind of crap was going on out there. Open containers, the smell of pot, drug dealers with pit bull in their trucks. Illegal Mexicans outnumbering the white people 20 to 1. No place to bring a family. I sure wouldn't camp out there without a gun. Doesn't surprise me at the burglaries. Trashy Place
