Klein ISD student is facing one month in an alternative campus

The Houston Chronicle is reporting; A 12-year-old Klein ISD student is facing one month in an alternative campus as punishment for relieving himself in a water bottle after his teacher refused to let him leave class to use the restroom, according the boy's attorney.

On Jan. 13, the seventh-grader repeatedly asked the teacher if he could go to the bathroom and he was denied, said Houston attorney Bill Hawkins. The teacher also told him she would write him up as truant if he left the classroom, he said.

School authorities should pull this teachers' certificate so fast his/her head rolls...no opportunity to speak, no way to make excuses, no hearing, no recourse at all...no matter this teacher's bad hair day or frustration with a painful hangnail, he or she needs to be out the door and the lock engaged as this person leaves the property. This teacher could have called for someone to escort this child to the restroom, but this tyrant forced this child to do what he had to do. Out the door...now!
