Study: Kids who drink, become adult abusers

TYLER - According to a new study by researchers at The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, alcohol is kids biggest peer pressure problem. Out of 44,000 teens tested, kids ages 12 to 14 said they had used alcohol at least once a month. The report goes on to say that teens who drink alcohol before the age of 15 are six times more likely to develop serious addictions to drugs and alcohol. KETK interviews a licensed chemical dependency counselor on how prevelent of an issue underage drinking is in East Texas, how kids are getting their booze and why she calls alcohol a gateway drug for teens.
