TYLER - Researchers once predicted the obesity rate in the U.S. would peak at 34 percent.

Now new studies from Harvard show the obesity rate will reach 42 percent within the next forty years.

The same research shows obesity can be shared and spread like a disease among friends, and according to researchers, that rate of spreading has increased at an alarming rate.
