Possible link between chemical a rise of childhood asthma cases

The Houston Chronicle is reporting: Peeing in a swimming pool may not be as innocent as it sounds or feels, according to Chinese researchers.

In a study published in Environmental Science and Technology, researchers found uric acid and chlorine combined to produce the gas nitrogen trichloramine or NCl3, which can cause irritation in the mucous membrane and even acute lung injury.
