LAKE PALESTINE — Summer fishing is picking up after the East Texas storm. People are spending their hot summer days at Lake Tyler and Lake Palestine.
East Texan's are not putting their fishing poles away during the high temperatures. People are spending time outdoors, taking their boats out, shopping for fishing and sporting equipment.
The hot weather and rain is not stopping East Texan's from fishing. A fisherman said fishing is good and the water level is approximately 4 to 6 feet.
Porter's Fishing Store manager Josh Meadows says "the lakes are full, a lot of people fishing, there's a lot worms, just different types of tackle."
Head out to the lakes with family and friends and try to stay cool.
