East Texans filled Bergfeld Park in Tyler for a fair celebrating the 55th Annual Azalea Trails.

This weekend is the Azalea Arts and Craft Fair. The event is known for unique gifts and custom handmade items.

We spoke with Special Events Coordinator of the City of Tyler, Debbie Isham on Saturday and says, this event is very special, a lot of people are coming in and we have vendors who are from out of town, so that brings a lot of tourism to the city.

More than 90 vendors attended. Sandra Presley of Dallas set up her booth for a special cause. “My company is all about breast cancer, my daughter walk the breast cancer walk, this will be my 60 mile walk we have to raise $2,300 for each walk and we sell hats to get to our fund raising goal,” said Presley.

People got to enjoy entertainment throughout the day under the sun and kids got their fix too. Folks tell us, the food at the fair is delicious.

Organizers say, the community and annual visitors keep this Tyler tradition alive.
