One Person Could Win $25,000 During Halftime Contest

Brookshire Grocery Company and the Hispanic Business Alliance, announced two leading Mexican soccer teams Chivas Sub20 and Tigres Sub20 will face off at the 3rd Annual “Futbol de las Rosas”international soccer exhibition at Rose Stadium in Tyler, Texas on Saturday, June 29 at 6:30 p.m.Sub20 is a league of teams consisting of players under the age of 20 in training to become top players in the Mexican Football Federation.

“Bringing such a high-level International Soccer event to the Tyler community is exactly the type of community involvement to which Brookshire’s and Super 1 Foods is committed,” said HBA Director Price Arredondo. “These teams represent the rising stars of Mexican soccer, and having this type of talent play in East Texas is extremely exciting.”

Gates for the game will open at 4:30 p.m. with kick-off scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Tickets will go on sale beginning June 5 at Tyler area Brookshire’s and Super 1 Foods stores. Ticketsare pricedat $10 for adults. Kids 12 and under receive free admission. During half-time, fiveselected contestantswill receive the chance to win $25,000 during the Soccer Kick Challenge sponsored by Kraft. Pre-game fun for families will include door prizes, games and food samples from partnering companies such as Kraft, Procter & Gamble, Kellogg’s, Coca-Cola, Community Coffee, Jarrito’s, Mission, Hormel, Smuckers, Lala, General Mills, Unilever and Mondelez.

The two teams will also host a coed Soccer Clinic sponsored by Kellogg’s and Procter & Gamble Saturday, June 29 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Players for the clinic will be selected by local high school soccer coaches.
