Oh goodness - Texas is full of all kinds of politics. To say everyone is only one party is wrong and silly.

I don't know who they're polling, but if they're polling in Texas, they must be really pushing for polling one race, and the younger generation. Texas is Republican at heart, and I, as a caucasian woman, am against most everything the Democrats and their mindless spending and unethical judgments are doing.

I tend to agree with L.F. Perhaps Gallup is polling young women.

My mother was a lady who could never be deceived by any of my misbehaviors- she could see right through any fib I tried to get by with, reading me like a book. She stayed right on top of any family situation. In matters political, however, she cared little and thought one party was nearly the equivalent of the other. In her early years, she thought that 'the government' should take care of peoples' problems and complaints, since 'the government' had plenty of money with which to accomplish this, thus had Democrat leanings. My Dad was always a hard-working provider for our family. As she applied herself to learning more about things political, after discovering that more and more people were taking advantage of his hard work through their welfare check, she became versed enough politically to realize that 'the government' was encouraging laziness through welfare payments to those who could actually have been working. So in her mid- and later years, she supported the Republican ideals of economic conservatism, thinking it unfair to be the buffer for others' poor decisions, being no longer deceived by self-perpetuating government largesse, a hallmark of the Democrat party- which now has become democratic in name only.
