Suspected robber shot dead by deputy had lengthy record

Prior to shooting; pair were suspected of at least two armed robberies
Houston — The Houston Chronicle is reporting; a robbery suspect who was fatally shot last week by a Harris County sheriff's deputy had a lengthy local criminal record with past convictions for assault, burglary and drug possession, among other charges.
Thomas Patrick Boone, 24, and Scott Alan Webb, 40, were suspects in at least two armed robberies in northwest Harris County on Friday when deputies spotted their car near Ella and West Mount Houston.
They led deputies on a high-speed chase that lasted about 5 miles. The pursuit came to an end on Calvin and Mount when they struck a civilian motorist and three Harris County sheriff's patrol cars.
