"Suspicious" Mobile Home Fire

Officials say investigation is ongoing
Noonday, TX — KETK was first on scene for a mobile home fire Friday morning.
Around 8:30 this morning, fire fighters responded to a mobile home fire on Smith county road 1104. Once they arrived, fire marshals realized this was a bigger fire than what they first thought. The Smith County fire marshal says there was a family argument at this mobile home in the 15,000 block of county road 1104 at 2 a.m. and the home owner, Daniel Hippe asked everyone to leave.
The fire got so big parts of county road 1104 had to be closed down. The reason--propane tanks were everywhere.
Amy Hippe, a relative of the owner's of the mobile home says the fire completely caught her by surprise. Officials say they don't know what started the arguement, but it's a lynchpin to the investigation.
Investigators with the Smith County fire marshall told me they don't believe this investigation will lead to an arrest. When they spoke to the home owner, he was in Brownsboro visiting a friend. They'll continue to look at all the evidence to determine a cause.
