San Francisco is raising its minimum wage to $10 per hour. Texas sits at the federal minimum wage requirement of $7.25 per hour.

Bob and Kaci chat with Garth Maier at KTBB to see if East Texans think the minimum wage should follow suit.

In Texas, a single parent with one child who earns $10.00 an hour and if they are luckey enough to get 40 hours per week still qualifies for every welfare program there is likt the lone satar card, housing assistance, utility assistance, wic...etc...etc.
It is time for employers to pay their employees enough to keep them off of welfare. Why should we tax payers be sbusadising these corporations with welfare because their profits are more important than their employees?

I suppose they think it will increase employment? Help those on fixed incomes? They think higher taxes stimulates growth. I guess they think if you prohibit profit more people will go into business, punch another hole in the boat it'll sink slower, pour more gasoline on a fire it'll go out.

The cost of living in Texas is far less than San Fran so it is not apples to apples.
