Governor Perry talks about his flat tax plan
Tyler —
Governor Rick Perry proposed dramatic tax and spending changes Tuesday, saying he would let Americans choose between a 20 percent flat tax and the current system, allow private Social Security accounts and slash
government spending and regulation.
The governor says his plan would significantly spur economic growth. East Texans talk-back on the idea with our news partner: KTBB and host Garth Maier.

Sounds to me like he's throwing out stupid ideas trying to capture the conservative base. I'm for a flat tax, but his proposal is nonsense. Forbes' was more practical.
First. Perry will not be elected. The tax plan he proposes will not be enacted.
Although voters in Texas keep electing him, the nation will never elect him.
Why? The reasons would be lost in a Texas forum. Texans elected Bush for governor, and politicians made him president. So, we have Perry. Republicans make such great choices.
