Congress to decide on unemployment benefits by year's end

How long is too long for benefits?
Tyler — Last year 75 percent of the nation's unemployed were drawing benefits. This year, that number has decreased to 48 percent, but it's not because people are finding new jobs, it's just that their benefits are running out.
Now congress is expected to decide by year's end whether to continue providing emergency unemployment benefits for up to 99 weeks in the hardest-hit states.
