East Texans asked if they would take part in "human shield."

Tyler---That controversial baptist church in Kansas and it's pastor wanting to protest again at a funeral.

This time that of a nine year old girl killed by a gunman in Tucson.

The church has in the past protested at funerals of our nation's war dead and that of Elizabeth Edwards.

East Texans asked if they'd volunteer services as part of "a human shield" to keep protestors away.

They give their answers to our news partner: KTBB and host Garth Maier.

If Obama can turn her memorial into a political rally, why can't this church?

Why doesn't the article mention that it's those Westboro Babtist Church loons?

Seriously though, I for free speech, but there need to be more laws protecting the rights of the grieving.

They have no legitimate protest.
And as such should be charged with inciting to riot, or whatever else the local law enforcement can think up. Toss them in jail and make them cough up some cash for their fines or legal bills a couple of times and these nut cases will wise up.
This is all about getting their 15 minutes of fame. (Or infamy is their case.)

i'm all for freedom of speech and freedom of expression--but when it's at the expense of family and friends mourning the loss of a 9 year old child??? i believe i could 'overlook' that family's belief system even if it was in direct conflict with my own---
besides--this shows a lot of selfishness and arrogance on the part of those people that are protesting--
