Al Gore says he's in favor of the popular vote instead

Tyler — Former VP and presidential candidate: Al Gore the latest to side with a growing number of democrats in favor of doing away with the electoral college come presidential election time.

East Texans talk-back on the idea of sticking just with the popular vote when we elect our president.

Gore would likeky change his mind first time aDem lost the popular vote but would have won the electoral. That said, the reasons the electoral was established are slowly dying and it is becoming another obsolete institution.
