Hasan's beard: religion over regulations?

Accused Ft. Hood gunman won't shave his beard
Tyler — Nadal Hasan the accused Ft. Hood gunman, will undergo a military trial for murder and attempted murder. While awaiting trial, Hasan has managed to grow a lengthy beard for what he says is to "observe his Islamic faith."
The Major is still a member of the U.S. military, with a dresscode prohibiting facial hair. Should he be required to shave? East Texans talk-back to our news partner: KTBB and host Garth Maier.

Hasn't it already been ruled that the beard will be shaved? That being said he did choose regulations over religion. Until the court martial is completed, the beard goes.
He'll just look weirder with that goofy, scraggly beard. Let him grow it. He'll be convicted even faster just for his ridiculous facial hair.
Shave the murderous pig, or perhaps, if he objects to shaving, an open flame might help. Very fast, efficient, and leaves a nice tan. My question is this. Why is evil being still breathing?
Since Major Hasan "used" the Army to engineer his attack in the name of "Allah", it only stands to reason that 'shaving is used by his decision' to 'poke' the Army in the eye.
Therefore it would stand to reason that the same applies here. Major Hasan should be shaved because he needs to be in the same condition he was when the attack was made.
This is an Army court & he was an Army soldier then .....a Muslim in 'diguise'. Bin Lauden said "we will defeat you by your Constitution." Hasan listened
