Some question latest numbers as "fuzzy math"
Tyler — In September, a whopping 873-thousand more people reported working than the month before. that's a big number.
And that household report pushed the unemployment rate down from 8.1-percent to 7.8-percent: a strong jobs showing, good news for the president.
But some are wondering if it's too good to be true. East Texans talk-back on the numbers with our news partner: KTBB and host Garth Maier.

has anyone thought maybe the benefits ran out is this part of the equation to say how much better the employment is
4 yrs ago, after decade of GOP Majority Leadership in House, Senate, 8 yrs White House....Fed Chief Ben Bernanke and Sec Treas Hank Paulson gathered Congressional leaders for a short, powerful meeting on Thurs 9/18/2008.
Bernanke simply said "Unless you act, the financial system of this country and the world will melt down in a matter of days. If we don't do this by tomorrow, we won't have an economy on Monday."
This is where GOP leadership took America. Why go back to this incompetence?
OMB IS politically affiliated with the administration in power and this information is open, not hidden. BLS (the people who crunch the jobs numbers) is NOT under the OMB and is NOT partisan.
Dishonest conspiracy theory speculation does not change the fact that the economy is actually, for real, truthfully getting better. I hope and pray voting Americans can see through right wing disinformation.
The job numbers have been calculated the same way for decades across Republican and Democratic administrations by professional, i.e., trustworthy & nonpartisan, civil servants. They weren't faked or fudged and ethical Republicans aren't making this allegation.
The truth is the economy is improving although we'd like to see faster improvement.
Over the longer run, years not decades, we need a better educated work force. Watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=2pnJUd8c3Rg
Since the OMB last summer...0r Spring?..... said it was 'politically owned' by the current administration; it stands to reason that it is again'skewing' the numbers toward the benefit of Obama. Also possibly the other polls.
After all who wants to go to work on the daye AFTER the election to find your pink notice on your desk?????
