East Texans wonder what happened to: separation of church and state?
Tyler — First lady Michelle Obama made an impassioned pitch for black churchgoers to embrace political action on Thursday in a speech to the country's oldest black religious denomination.
"To anyone who says that church is no place to talk about these issues, you tell them there is no place better," Obama said at a conference of the African Methodist Episcopal Church in Nashville, Tennessee.

She is just jealous that there is no church of Obama.
Let's be cautious at what we point fingers. First, she spoke at a convention not at a church. Second, the overly repeated byline was that she avoided politics in her speech.
jpttm - you miss the point - I was not referring to where she was - but what she said. eg: No better place for politics than in the church. So, methinks it is you that should be cautious about pointing fingers.
The Person and the values of Christ are the only things that should be presented in the assembly. The purpose being, to encourage others to accept Christ and be like Him. AMEN
"HOLY IS HIS NAME".
Sorry Mrs.Obama, the church is definitely NOT the place for politics. It is a place where Jesus Christ is Magnified and Worshipped. He is the Central figure and the reason there is a church. What did Paul say? He preaches Christ crucified (I Cor I: 22) . Doesn't she know that Jesus is God Himself in the flesh.
Read, JN: 1-1 and 14. To paraphrase: The Word that was God (v1) became flesh and lived among us. (v14) None other than Jesus Christ. God in the flesh.
