"We're all human" does not excuse abdicating self-control. We all rail at the number of teen pregnancies, young adult casual and disposable "hook-ups," indulgences in drugs and alcohol abuse, and the loss of innocence in the race to experience all the thrills one can get out of life. Too many look for a quick fix to the challenges of life doing whatever feels good at the moment, but personal responsibility requires taking a long view of the consequences of youthful indiscretions.
Morals are just the intersection of our sense of fairness with our sense of empathy. They're instinctual to a certain degree. I don't know why anyone would think we're more moral than anyone else--we're all human.
