One estamate says the proposed tax increases will create some $82 billion in revenues. The deficit is somewhere around $1,000 billion. Unfortunately the $82 billion won't go to deficit reduction. It will be used as additional spending revenue. I believe Obama has no intention of fixing the economy. I believe he truely wants a second recession creating even more govt. dependancy and greater centralized power.
