In a time when unemployment in America is high, President Obama held an "insourcing jobs forum" on Wednesday, aimed at creating and bringing additional jobs back to America.

He is planning to unveil tax incentives plans for companies who do bring jobs back to our country and create more products in America.

Kaci chats with Garth Maier at KTBB to hear if East Texans believe it is the moral obligation of United States companies to keep jobs in America.

If you made a billion dollars without being dishonest, committing fraud, or using force, I wouldn't criticize you. I would emulate you.

you want to eliminate laws & regulations that protect the citizens of this nation so corporations can make more profits even though they are sitting on trillions in profits in offshore accounts. Whats the difference? So lets eliminate every law like fraud extortion murder robery deception scams identy theft on & on & on that also protect the citizens. What wall street did to this nation is just as bad and ruined the lives of millions but yoyu wnat to protect them & end protections for us.

I never advocated the elimination of all laws. I also never condoned violence or acts of force or fraud. Protecting citizens from violent acts, fraud, theft, murder, etc, IS a legitimate role of government.

I do not believe that it is a legitimate role of government to economically favor one group over another. Laws that favor the rich is wrong. For the same reason, welfare is also wrong. For everyone that receives without earning, someone earns without receiving.

Well lets just eliminate every law on the books and I will promis you I will be a billionaire within a year. Every man woman and child for themselves right. Watch your back if that ever happens.

Laws and regulations are in place to protect the citizens from corporations and businesses because in the past they have s c r e w e d the citizens in the name of profits and greed.

Because we don't really need a military or laws for safe food or anything like that....

OK folks, four choices below:

A. Make more laws and asses monetary penalties if businesses don't do what we want.

B. Make more laws dictating what businesses can and can't do with their own money.

C. Claim a moral high ground and assume that you are right and everyone else shares your beliefs.

D. Get the government out of the way of private enterprise by removing the disincentive to earn income. If you want less of something, tax it. Tax income and there will be less of it.

eliminate every trade agreement with nations that do not have or enforce child labor or slave labor laws or laws requiring their employers to pay their employees a livable wage in their country. Companies that leave America to take advantage of the child and slave labor markets in foreign nations should have huge tariffs levied on their products sent back to the U. S.. If a company wants to turn a profit off of citizens here then they should help pay for what our nation needs.

As long as we keep buying goods from WalMart, K-Mart, Dollar stores, etc., we will be putting $ in mega-corporations, seeing jobs sent overseas where workers are paid pennies on the dollar and investors are reaping in their dividends, and we will be buying goods with built-in fail dates...only when we bring jobs back to the US, pay decent wages, and are willing to pay a little more for "Made In America" will this economy turn around...unless we make our voices heard, it is status quo.

I think there is a moral obligation for big business to keep the jobs in the United States. I switched my electric provider to one that had customer service agents in the United States. It just seems that some big businesses only care about the bonuses they are going to get, not customer service or meeting moral obligations.

You know what would be an incentive for companies to bring jobs back? Repeal the 16th amendment.
