If retired general was involved during his military career: Adultery is a punishable offense

General David Petraeus resigned as CIA Director after he admitted to having an affair with his biographer; Paula Broadwell.

Petraeus could face prosecution if officials turn up any evidence his affair began while he was still in the military.

Should military officers be punished for adultery?
