Analysts believe all signs point to the country, hardening along more and more strict partisan lines.

He may not be the most polarizing President we've had, but except for maybe Clinton, he's the only one that has made an effort to do so.
I seriously doubt it. I think the honor would go to Ulysses S. Grant or Andrew Johnson. However, they may have been hated by everyone. Kennedy was also hated by a lot of folks, also. People forget that.
