Tyler — It may soon be a lot harder to find a place to smoke in Santa Monica, Calif. The Santa Monica city council approved an ordinance Tuesday that would bar new tenants of apartments and condos from smoking inside their residences.
East Texans talk-back on the latest push by government to thwart smoking.

For those who won't believe the left is not taking away our rights, this is a flagrant restriction of our property rights.
It should be up to the Land/building owner not any one else. Wouldn't ya think?

Last time I looked, 50 states were bound by a confederation of the UNITED States of America...I suspect the other 49 would breathe a sigh of relief if this state of redneck ultra-conservative teavangelical right-of-right repubs would secede from the US. That's not how the game is played, but. gov. slick rick has proposed such a move, so why don't you and those who think like you do (check the "secede" bumper stickers around town) sign a petition and see what happens?
