Governor Perry prime example of politicians looking for new job while they hold onto the other

Governor Rick Perry; the latest example of a current office-holder whose seeking a higher office while holding-on to their old job.

East Texans ponder the question: Should politicians like Perry seeking to further their political careers resign from office while campaining for another?

Yes, They should resign any office that they are in. Why do the people of Texas now have to have a govenor who is spending the next year away from taking care of this state. We should just kick him out if needed because he is getting paid by us and no longer serving us as a full time govenor. Perry needs to resign now.

That would be like the CEO of a company starting as a dock worker having to resign between each position.I don't feel the president of the united states should be able to campain for re-election but run on the record he has established.

The president is simply a figurehead to the unelected real and hidden powers that determine the nation's direction. A pin-up photograph could do the presidents job provided the government controlled media could convince the voters that the photograph selected had been the voter's choice. Like the dollars spent that have never been created, our government is but a mirage from which the people quench their thirst.
