Arkansas Supreme Court strikes down new law against unmarried couples adopting.

Arkansas voters overwhelmingly voted for a measure against unmarried couples adopting children.

The state's Supreme Court unanimously struck-down the law.

East Texans offer their two cents on whether unmarried couples should be able to adopt children.

They should be able to adopt. They're better off in a home like that, same sex or not, than in foster care or orphanages. But what happens w/ the child(ren) if the couple splits?

Surely you jest with this question. Why do we have CPS (Child Protective Services)? Isn't it because MARRIED couples mistreat and abuse their children? This question is just another way to bring forth the bigotry of East Texans against same-sex couples who would marry if people like you would allow them to do so. Now you word a question in such a way that these same loving, committed couples who would be willing to adopt a child would be prohibited from doing so simply because they are not

Seems more and more are choosing to just live together versus marriage. The 'why' I do not understand. But, adopting and/or foster parents is an iffy with me. I just don't know. Someone, somewhere has to make that decision for or against it.
