KTBB's Garth Maier asks East Texans if they agree.

Yes thats right. Play the race card before any investigation is done. This is the kind of thing that drives a wedge between blacks and whites. I do feel like the incident should be investigated to find out what happened. To this point I have not heard anything that would point to a hate crime.

If analysis of the voice tape proves racial slurs were uttered by zimmerman, then he is a racist, is not afraid to used derogatory words, and is very comfortable using them freely. The funeral director has said that there were no "fight back" marks on Treyvon, the police report states that he was found lying face down in the grass (not on or near the cement walkway), and photos of zimmerman show no blood/broken nose, etc. This man is nothing more than a self-appointed armed vigilante.

Given the recent enhancements in the audio tape of Mr. Zimmerman's comments in which it contradicts all the claims of racism on the part of Mr. Zimmerman; where he said "cold" and not "coon" and where he used the term "punks" instead of some racial utterance: could you EVER see your way clear to consider Mr. Zimmerman anything other than a self-appointed armed vigilante??

The only hate crime that is evident so far is what spike lee and some idiot black blogger from California have done to an elderly couple who live in the Sanford area and are unfortunate enough to have a connection to someone named Zimmerman. Well, that and the incitement to riot from the New Black Panthers and the Walgreens ransacking for the high schoolers. Interesting to note the Walgreen's looters race; didn't see too many Asians or Caucasions. Wonder why??

Rollinson - remember what I told you - dont change the subject.
Here is the question AGAIN:"Trayvon Martin: A hate crime?See that question mark?It is requesting your opinion as to wether this was a hate crime. Not talking about Black Panthers or looters. From the evidence I have seen and heard, Zimmerman seems to be the perpertrator of a violent and deadly incident. There is a distinct aura of racism from this fellow, and I would add, also from you. You bloody Marxist. Leave TX. and do it QUICK!

As more information is either leaked or released from police custody, it appears that Mr.Martin was the aggressor after the surveillance had ended because once Mr. Zimmerman lost sight of Mr. Martin and was returning to his truck, that appears to be when the actual confrontation took place.

No, the crime wasn't racially motivated. From what I understand from the media that the man that killed the boy was told not to follow the individual by the police. He ignored the police and followed the boy any way. That's when the altercation between the two started.
