Nearly 4 and a half billion in past six years
Tyler — Gallup reports that: A majority of union members say they would vote for Barack Obama in the 2012 presidential race, although their support is by no means monolithic.
While 57% of union workers who are registered to vote would support Obama, 35% would vote for Mitt Romney. Workers who are not union members tilt toward Romney over Obama, 48% to 44%.

Right-wingers turn a blind eye and deaf ear to the obscene amount of $ being poured into willard's campaign by filthy rich special interest groups, but let organized people concerned about jobs and security for their families contribute to a Black Democrat for president, and all heck breaks loose from the teavangelical/repub/ultra-conservative right...you can't have it both ways...this is, after all, America, and we are just as free to contribute to our candidate as you are. So areyou saying the multi-millionaire actors/actresses, billionaires Gates and Sorose et. al. don't count as wealthy? Obama ran and is running on the same socialist platform Dems have run on since Carter. We voted against them for their position. So why with Obama it's only a skin color thing? Your only proving the left is desparate to keep racism alive in America.
Why would the unions support any republicans when the republicans are writing legislation in Congress and in every gop controled legislature that will do away with fair wages, work place safety, benefits tied to the profits a company makes as a result of their labor and out-source all of our jobs? Lets not forget that men women & children have died in the streets of this nation fighting for the rights and the GOP was behind it every time.
It's amazing there isn't more support from unions for Democrats. Every time you turn around Republicans are union busting and otherwise putting the hurt on the middle class. Well Duh! Of course unions will support Democrats.
Well that's a no brainer! Union memebers are generally hard working middleclass wage earners...not yacht owners with foreign bank accounts in the Cayman Islands or Bermuda or Switzerland! They don't make $10,000 bets or have his-n-her Cadillacs!!!
