Some researchers pick and choose data

What's to pick and choose? When you show ALL the data points, the average temperature of the Earth is going up. The NOAA data says it, the NASA data says it, the data from countless other scientific organizations say it. FOX has to dig up geological engineers who work for oil companies to find a 'scientist', (I use that word lightly since they're not published) who says otherwise.
