Postal Service hikes stamp price

The price of a postage stamp: is increasing faster than any point in postal history. It'll now cost you 46 cents to mail a letter.

But in a time when the USPS continues to hemorrhage money, do you think increasing prices is the best solution?

I asked the Postmistress here & she said that the Post Office is not a Gov't paid entity.
"We are broke"

"Why are you listed under the US service in the phone book??
"I do not know??"

" I think someone should find out just for the general public"

Betcha there is money for you somewhere....who writes your checks??

Hmmm...another red herring here.

How many stamps do you buy a month? What's that penny going to cost each family? Is you mailbox still mounted on your front porch or do you have curbline mailbox? Letter Carriers go to every house everyday.

It is not increasing as fast as gasoline has.
