EAST TEXAS - Earlier this week, President Barack Obama signed the multi-billion dollar stimulus bill into a law.

That could mean about $2.25 billion dollars to Texas highway transportation needs.

Larry Krantz explains more in "Talking TxDOT".

The stimulus bill has no affect one way or the other on the projects formerly known as the Trans-Texas Corridor.

It would be very helpful if TXDOT would reveal what strings are required of Texas in order to receive that money.
Is it intended to revive the supposedly-dead TransTexasCorridor or continue with the push for no borders under the StrategicProsperityPlan?

For the 1st time, I can agree with Governor Perry. We should not take money from this aberration of a bill if that will further erode Texas' sovereignty.
