TASCA offers senior citizens a variety of activities and workout classes every week. A full body exercise class is offered Wednesday and Friday mornings for one hour. Charretta Jeffers is the fitness trainer. She has been teaching this class for about 6 years.

"We do approximately 30 minutes of cardio before we start the hour and then we'll do weights, heavy weights, bands, balls, in between the next 20 minutes and then we do core exercise," Jeffers said.

Wanda Joyce, a fitness class participant, said, "Charretta is a great instructor, she never does the same thing twice. Every day its different. We work on different muscles, different things, we dance, we do all kinds of good things."

One woman who frequents the class has her background in health and physical education. She brings in newsletters and articles every week to help educate the seniors further about their health.

Linda Hocker said, "I hope they make some adjustments to their diets and make themselves a little more healthy."

She takes advantage of other fitness options at TASCA as well.

"I also go to the other exercise class here, and the line dancing class here so I get enough exercise to hopefully keep me healthy," said Hocker.

Jeffers says the best part is seeing the results.

"I get a blessing to see them overcome issues in their life, and it just blesses me to have the knowledge and wisdom to help them," Jeffers said.
