Tatum drive-in worker’s quick actions may have saved customer’s life

Justin Craig’s response was sonic on Sunday when the Tatum High School senior learned a customer at his drive-in was in distress.

“She did not have a pulse — I checked every place I could,” Craig, 18, said of the elderly woman sitting in a passenger seat at the Sonic Drive-In in Tatum.

Craig, the assistant manager at the eatery on Texas 149, leaned the woman’s seat back, found the center point of her sternum and began compressing rhythmically around 8:30 p.m.
