School board mulling a half-cent increase

Lufkin — The Lufkin Daily News is reporting; Lufkin taxpayers wanting to know more of a possible tax hike on public school taxes need to be at LISD administration at six this evening.

Superintendent Roy Knight tells The Daily News: the proposed increase for a $100,000 home, means taxes will go up $5.
